Meet Milo
On the day my little boy turned 5 years old, we met Milo … and it was love at first snuggle.
Milo is a petite golden doodle (golden retriever/poodle mix). We took him to his first vet appointment recently, and he weighs just less than 5 lbs right now – and he’ll likely be around 15 lbs full grown. He’s just a small pile of fluff!
Welcoming this pup into our home and hearts has aroused such mothering instincts – and not just in me! My little ladies keep a close eye on Milo, tending to his needs and teaching him. It’s obvious that Milo trusts their abilities and looks to them for encouragement.
And even though we’re a house full of humans, Milo quickly found himself a fellow littermate … my little boy. They roll across the grass together, lick each other with doggie kisses (yup!) and frolic with a similar care-free energy.
I’m noticing that training a puppy is training us – and teaching us much about how to parent and how to be obedient to our parents … but I’m still in the observing stage of these thoughts, so perhaps I’ll write more about that in the future …
For now, just get swallowed up in the sweetness that we call Milo.
Go ahead and let your heart be melted – ours certainly are!
(Sorry for the overload of pics … I just can’t help it … he’s SO cute!)
Oh my goodness, so much snuggly love!!!!! Puppies are the best and Milo looks like a lot of fun! 🙂
